Air jacks are a very easy way to lift
the wheels of the car off the ground. Use the Intrax lance to pump
air into the air jacks and the car will lift itself up. Ready for
some fast maintenance or changing the wheels.
The Intrax carjacks are custom made and can be adjusted to any desired length. We are the first company to have built air jacks for a NASCAR car. This car needed a 400mm lift.
The usual ‘in tube assembly’ is also available for the Intrax air jacks. In addition, Intrax offers the possibility to enable assembly on to the chassis with brackets and 4 bolts.
We have different diameters air jacks for different car models.
If the car needs to be lifted higher for large-scale maintenance, Intrax offers so-called ‘elephant feet’. Elephant feet are the ‘legs’ that provide stable support for the air jacks, so the car can be lifted up even higher.

Intrax offers a full range of fully adjustable camber plates, as well as hard top mounts.
Compared to standard rubber top mounts, that allow a lot of movement, our top mounts offer a significantly increased control over the suspension and steering. The camber plates make the camber (in some cases also the caster) freely adjustable. Here you can see which camber plates and hard top mounts we currently have in stock. If the camber plate and/or hard top mount you are looking for is not listed, then contact us as we often can provide another solution for you (welding plates or custom-made plates).
IMPORTANT NOTE: We do not recommend using camber plates and/or hard top mounts for street use. The hard connection made between the suspension and the chassis may cause extra noise.
The camber plates are manufactured using the best materials. The bearing is enclosed in a stainless-steel bearing retainer. The 15mm thick aluminium top plate is made of anodised 7075 ‘aircraft quality’ aluminium. The precision bearing has a diameter of 16 or 20mm, which can be adjusted in height to 21mm and 25mm respectively. The camber plate adds 18mm height from the beginning of the top pin to the body. We use a top-quality bearing, suitable for rally cross, auto cross, car racing, rally, ovals and street use. Shock absorbers of other brands, such as Koni, Bilstein, Reiger, AST, Proflex or KW often fit in our bearing through an adapter bush (12 > 16mm or 14 > 16mm). The camber plates for the EVO's and Impreza's are available in a special, extra strong version, especially designed for ‘heavy duty’ use at professional rally level. These plates have a bearing with an inside diameter of 20mm (instead of the usual 16mm).
If there is enough space for installation, all Intrax shock absorbers can optionally be equipped with a ‘spring adjuster’ which allows the rigidity of the spring (not to be confused with the ride height/spring preload) to be adjusted.
The choice between rigid or flexible springs is a major adjustment. The rigidity of the spring is expressed in the spring constant, with the most commonly used unit kg/cm. Until now, this meant that when you bought a shock absorber set, you would have to buy multiple sets of springs (for example: 190, 200, 210 and 220 kg/cm) for maximum performance.
Intrax provides a spring adjuster that solves this problem and enables an optimal adjustment under all circumstances, while at the same time reducing adjustment times and cost.
On the race circuit, rigid springs are installed for a good stability when the weather is dry. In wet weather, softer springs provide a better traction and predictability. Simply said, the springs should be rigid for a lot of grip and a flat road surface, and with less grip and many bumps, smoother springs result in faster lap times.
By sliding the spring further into the spring adjuster, that part of the windings is disabled, and the spring becomes more rigid. In the event of a change of position of the spring adjuster, the ride height must be corrected. Each step should be matched with a correction of four revolutions of the spring adjuster.
The welding plates are fixed on the
original position of the dome. The original domes must be removed where the
thicker (5mm thick) welding plates are inserted. Because these plates are flat
and fitted with a larger hole for the top pin, the adjustment range for camber
and caster is increased.
Stabiliser block/mount. This block is
adjustable in height on the thread of the shock absorber. It is
fitted in place with the help of two lock washers and Loctite.
Because this stabiliser block is adjustable in height, it is easier to mount the stabiliser free of strain. The stabiliser link can be directly mounted in the block (M8 or M10, which you can indicate when ordering). Should this not be possible, then we have several types of stabiliser links that can be mounted on the block. So, there is always a connection with the stabiliser.
We have the following diameters in stock:
M65 x 1.5
M56 x 1.5
M54 x 1.5
M52 x 1.5
M50 x 1.5
Custom sizes are possible.
The C spanner should always be a set.
This is because with two C spanners, it is possible to unscrew the
spring plate and lock ring from each other without damaging the
rings.
After the spring is adjusted to the proper height, the second C spanner can be used to tighten the lock ring against the spring, while it is held in place by the other C spanner to prevent it from turning.
We sell C spanners in 4 sizes:
1. Ø 68mm
2. Ø 79mm
3. Ø 87mm
4. Ø 95mm
The two largest sizes have a ¾ hole to extend the arm.
To replace the
spring of an Intrax MacPherson upside-down construction with a
floating bearing, a T-wrench must be used.
If you don't see two nuts on the bottom of your Intrax MacPherson upside-down leg, you can assume you have a floating bearing. To be able to disassemble this MacPherson leg (for example to replace a spring), you need our T-wrench.
The T-wrench comes with short but clear instructions for use.
