Nuna 8 wins World Solar Challenge with Intrax

Adelaide, October 22, 2015 – For the sixth time, the Nuon Solar Team with its solar vehicle Nuna8 won the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. It has never been such a “close call” as in this race which carries across Australia. The solar car of the Solar Team Twente drove less than 3 minutes behind Nuna8. There was a lot of clouds. That hindered the sun to charge the battery through the solar panel. And the solar energy was much needed because Nuna8 didn’t have much energy left in the battery on the last race day. At the start it was not even sure if the team would make the finish.
