CAMBERPLATES
INTRAX is offering a wide range of fully adjustable camberplates. The original rubber topmounts normally allow a lot of movement. By changing to solid camberplates a huge improvement on the control of the suspension and steering is noticeable. The camberplates of Intrax allow independent caster- and camber adjustment. Intrax supplies camberplates for:
BMW E30, E36, E39, E46, MITSUBISHI EVO 7/8, SUBARU IMPREZA and PORSCHE 924, 944, 964, 996, 997
For model-specific information look under "Search by brand" in the red area on the top-right side.
IMPORTANT REMARK: considering the road noise and drivers comfort, we only recommend camberplates for (1) competition cars and (2) road cars for which the complete set is tested and developed by Intrax (for example Porsche 997).
The camberplates are made from the best materials. The bearing is placed in a stainless steel carrier. The aluminum used is ”aircraft grade” 7075T6. The bearing is a uniball with diameter of 16mm, height of 20mm. The camber plate adds 18mm height from the start of the toppin to the chassis. We use a top notch quality bearing, suitable for rallycross, autocross, car race and street use. Shock absorbers of other brands, like Koni, Bilstein and KW often fit with the use of an adapter flange bush 12 >16mm or 14>16mm.
The camberplates for the EVO’s and the Impreza’s are a special, extra strong version developed for "Heavy Duty" use on professional level, like rally. These plates are 12mm thick (instead of 10mm) and have a bearing diameter of 20mm (instead of 16mm).
Summary of the advantages:
> Reduced movement of the Mc Pherson strut
> Very accurate control
> Strongly improved accuracy of the damping and the suspension
> Two-folded adjustment
> Complete control over the adjustment of the wheels
> Influence of the under- and oversteer character of the car
> No energy storage in the rubber > Lighter control and steering
> Massive materials > Higher strength compared to the standard topmounts
> Modular > All parts can be purchased separately

WELDINGPLATES

“20mm offset hole for about 2 degrees more camber”

“low profile construction, about 30mm installed height from bottom of camberplate bearing to top of the welding plate”
“lasercut 5mm plates to weld on the welding plate and make a competition strut brace. Much stiffer, lighter and stronger than any bolt-on strut brace. Comes in a set of one left-hand and one right-hand M10 rod eye, with locking nuts and LH and RH nuts to be welded onto a pipe.
